Last night, the temperature dropped about 20 degrees in 3 hours... we had crab stew for supper, one of my Mennonite patients brought it to me.. and it sure was good.. this is soup and stew weather...
we are having chicken and dumplings tonight. it's left over from Sunday..
I made the chicken and dumplings in the crock pot though...
- 4 Chicken Breasts (boneless, skinless chopped up)
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- 1 Can Cream of Chicken Soup
- 1 Can Cream of Celery Soup
- 3 1/2 Cups Chicken Broth
- 1 Onion, finely diced
- 1 Cup Celery, diced
- 1 Cup Carrots, diced
- 2 Chicken bouillon cubes
- Biscuit dough..
- Now you can make some, use bisquick or a can of biscuits from the store,,
put all ingredients in, then cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours.
About 20-30 minutes before serving, break up the biscuits, put in dollops of the bisquick or homemade biscuit mixture.
and serve it up.. :)
